as we represent private enterprise and the true
cattle growers of Colorado."

CICA established the internship program in 2008 in memory of Joel Franz to honor him for his dedication to CICA, R-CALF USA and Kansas Cattlemen's Association.  Mr. Franz was a strong advocate for youth participation in agriculture.  The internship is an eight week, work from home program that takes place throughout June and July.  Catharine will aid the CICA Convention Committee with organizing and planning the annual convention which will be held July 15-17, 2011 in Hugo, Colorado.
CICA President, Kimmi Lewis stated that, “Each year we find exceptional young people to be our intern, such as Catharine Koroulis.  She joins an elite group of young ladies that have fulfilled the internship position in the past.  We are very excited to have Catharine join our team and help us with our convention.  She is quite the young lady and livestock judge.  This year Vice President Gerald Schreiber, Board Member Tom Hendrix and I chose the intern.  It is always an inspiring job, as these young people are the future of agriculture.”

CICA was started in June, 2005 to actively promote policy that will beneficially affect the live cattle industry at the local, state and national level, securing and preserving a viable livelihood for present and future generations.
